FLAGSHIP AF FOUNDATION ALDER HEY UNIT OPENS

EVENTS / POSTED BY 'MARK WOOLS'

Today see's the very anticipated launch of the first ever and flagship AF Foundation Rehabilitation & Physiotherapy Unit in Alder Hey, Liverpool - Europe's second largest children's hospital. It's been over a year in the making, and a very cherished project by all at The Light. We've designed it fully from scratch, everything for the door knobs to the graffiti artists sprayed master peices. AFF LAUNCH PARTY

EVENTS / POSTED BY 'THE LIGHT'

A massive thank you goes to everyone who made the Launch Party such a great success - it was a wonderful night jam packed with entertainment including live performances by Tom Chaplin from Keane, and Razorlight. Not forgetting Salon Privé’s spectacular array of the world’s most sought-after luxury cars mixed up with a little jive from the one and only Stavros Flatley!

The auction was red hot too, the cricket ball England used to destroy Australia in the second Ashes Test at Lord’s fetched £35,000 while a shirt and stump from the same match went for £20,000. The highest bid was one of £43,000 for a trip to Augusta for the 2010 US Masters including the chance to caddie for Ryder Cup hero Lee Westwood at the pre-tournament Par 3 competition.
